Latest sewing project

Thanks to my sis for taking pics of little K's birthday present since I forgot to do so (I forgot to iron it too- strange, because I had a present done a week early for once in my life and forgot to do both- thanks for taking care of both sis!).

I'm trying to be better about posting my sewing projects. I've sewn a lot of burp cloths and nursing covers for friends lately, but those aren't too exciting... this, on the other hand, was loads of fun. I think little E was jealous because I've never made anything for her that's even remotely this cute. Poor girl.

I always add my own little touches when I sew clothes, and this time I added three rolled roses on the dress, a headband with a rolled rose, and ruffles on the bloomers. I almost didn't give this little outfit away. I can't wait to see K in this!

I love this closeup... and especially the pic on the right with K's tiny hand in the shot

London Calling

I'm sure you've all had the experience taking a picture when you know you've captured something magical.

I'm having a hard time not thinking about our summer plans as it is, but when I saw this shot I am overwhelmed with excitement. I can only imagine the images of little E exploring this summer. It gives me the chills just thinking about it. Please let it be May tomorrow...

E is walking so well now. She never crawls and tirelessly explores everywhere we go. I love this shot of her bounding off to see the ducks with a huge grin on her face.

Baby Shower Brunch {for Michelle}

Here are a few pictures from Michelle's shower I hosted a few weeks ago. It was lovely to get together with just the girls and enjoy brunch. The food was easy and the flower arrangement consisted of plopping three stems of hydrangeas ($8.99 for three stems at Costco) in vases of differing heights. It's lovely when entertaining isn't stressful.

We had a parfait bar with fresh fruit, breakfast casserole (cut into squares and placed in cupcake lines for easier serving), muffins, fresh fruit juice, and a fabulous breakfast-y dessert, raspberry delight.  The guests took home cellophane bags filled with homemade chocolate-covered pretzels. Yum.

We can't wait to meet the newest addition to Michelle's family in a few weeks!

B + J

This is super sneak peek for one of my favorite sessions to date! We did four locations in just under an hour, and these two were troopers! I love their style...

They wanted to get some pictures of the two of them before their little one comes along (wish I would have thought of that- we have a 4 year gap between professional pictures), as well as document this exciting time in their lives. Is it possible to look any better when you're seven months pregnant? I think not. It's really just not even fair. Not even a little bit.
