Christmas Cookie & Cocoa Social {New York City}

We had another cookie and cocoa social this year, and it was far more laid-back than last time, but so much fun.  I love that party-throwing is a hobby my daughter and I share, and we had so much fun putting together the details.  I didn't even get a picture of the goody bags, but Ella was very excited to give her friends candy-shaped soap and peppermint bubble bath along with a bag of cookies they made and the festive bracelet they were given when they entered our home.  Favors are her favorite. I think she gets that from me!

Cathedral of St. John the Divine {Christmas in NYC}

Just a few from our visit to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at dusk.  The grounds there are so beautiful, and we loved seeing the Peace Tree, yet again.

All Is Calm, All Is Bright {Christmas Party in New York City}

One of my good friends here in the city hosted a fabulous ladies-only Christmas party.  Everyone brought a dessert to share, and at the end of the evening we were able to vote for the best looking and the best tasting desserts.  It was certainly a hard vote to cast, and that's for sure.

The ambiance of the "All is calm, all is bright" themed event was just lovely.  You can't beat tea lights and twinkle lights! You may recognize the Old Town Imports aluminum serve ware.  I think it fit the theme perfectly, and I love what a cohesive, uniform look it gives the spread.  It was even more beautiful in person than it is in person since it was so sparkly and reflective.

The hostess made homemade English toffee (that was out-of-this-world) and put them in little silver pillow boxes for each of the guests to take home.  You should have seen my face when I got home and saw what was inside.  And no, I didn't share.

Kabir's 2nd Birthday Party {New York City}

As usual, I went a bit overboard with the preview for this fabulous train-themed birthday party. There were just too many swoon-worthy details not to share them all, especially given that the family's NYC apartment is just stunning, and the birthday boy is as cute as they come. I couldn't help but enjoy myself right along with the guests as they celebrated Kabir's second birthday.  I hope you will too!
